For shops and workshops

Certify the bikes.
Keep the riders.

Partners apply the trustabike standard to certify a bike today — including bikes from your own stock — and become the workshop its owner returns to for every service, re-certification and repair after that.

What partnering looks like

The standard is ours. The customer is yours.

We supply the checklist, the grading and the certificate. You do the work you already do, on bikes you're already handling.

01
Inspect

Run the bike through the checklist in your own workshop — frame, drivetrain, brakes, wheels.

02
Certify

Your findings become a graded certificate tied to the frame number, carrying your name as the inspector. We review before it goes live.

03 (soon)
Hand over

The buyer activates a Passport — their first month free. Your work is the first entry in it.

04 (soon)
Service, yearly

They return for an annual service and re-certification — and the record keeps your name on it.

Why this is different

One inspection. A customer for the life of the bike.

Most certification schemes pay you once and end there. Because a Passport stays with the bike through every owner, the bike you certify today keeps coming back to a Partner — and when it sells, its next owner starts the loop again.

Three ways to partner

Whichever business you run, there's a fit.

Certification either adds to what you already do, or gets you a better price for what you already sell.

Service only

Workshop

A mechanic or workshop that services and repairs bikes but doesn't sell them.

What you certify
Your own service customers, plus bikes we route to you
Certificate type
Independently inspected — you have no stake in the sale
What you earn
£40 per certification
Once Passport launches
£20 per re-certification, plus the annual service that comes with it
Service + sales

Shop

A business that sells used bikes and runs its own workshop.

Buys & sells online

Online seller

A business that buys and sells bikes through eBay and similar sites.

What you certify
Bikes you're selling, inspected by a local workshop or shop partner
Certificate type
Independently inspected — the inspecting partner has no stake in your sale
Cost per bike
First 3 free, then £40 per bike
What you get
Listings buyers don't have to take on trust
Certifying your own stock

You can certify the bikes you sell.

You don't have to be a disinterested third party to use the standard. What you can't do is call it independent — so we don't. The certificate names you as the inspector either way, and says which of the two it is.

trustabike certified Independently inspected by you
For bikes you don't own — a private seller's bike routed to you, or a customer's own bike. You have no stake in the sale, so the certificate says so.
trustabike certified Inspected by you
For your own stock. Same checklist, same grading, same permanent record — with the commercial interest stated plainly rather than hidden.
Both route into a Passport for the buyer, and both count toward your accreditation.
Why join while it's a pilot

Help shape the standard, before it's set.

We're onboarding a small number of partners first, so the checklist and process get shaped by the people actually doing the inspections.

Get set up first

Trained on the checklist before wider rollout, with first pick of local certification requests.

Shape the checklist

The standard is still being refined — pilot partners feed back what works on the shop floor.

First in line for Passport

When Passport launches, pilot partners are the network its members are sent to.

Tell us a bit about your business. We'll get back to you to arrange checklist training and set you up as a certification partner.
